Do you know why this course directory pretty much took over as the one everyone goes to? (Well aside from the PDGA directory having constant outage problems and a 1990's interface), It's because it was built with the entire disc golf community in mind, not just the sub 10% who get PDGA...
Anyone who thinks this would be a good idea obviously hasn't ran a tournament, or at least not one with multiple courses in play. The PDGA got away from this model for a reason.
You know why some of us don't really give a crap whether or not disc golf grows as a sport? Just look at some of the conjecture used by a few bored souls in this thread over the actions or inactions of one person who has positively no impact on their personal lives. You'd think Paul stole...
I never worried where I stood. (Hell, I still don't). I just wanted an alternative way to get exercise.
Saying "I shot -4" doesn't mean much, particularly if you're using tee sign par.
Oh, if only a real world woman who had the attractiveness of a model and was also pretty good at disc golf existed. Hmm. I guess we'll never know such a soul.
Often depends on the tournament and the course. If the event has traditionally been a four rounder, I'd just as soon it stay that way. That being said, when you're a travelling player, there's something to be said about being done by 3pm on Sunday.
There's no one right way to do glow. I do advice having a regular flashlight on hand, but try only to use it in if all else fails situations. They screw up your (and everyone else's) night vision.
Perhaps we shouldn't be assumptive that because you find a disc with a PDGA number but no other contact information, that the person who lost it wants the finder to make an effort to return it, but wants to make a puzzle out of it. Maybe they just needed a means to mark their discs for...
I'm 90 minutes from Emporia, and don't consider it a dig. Both towns are "meccas" for disc golf, but you're comparing a metro area of over 2 million people with two major sports teams to a college town in Kansas barely 1% of it's size. If it weren't for disc golf, about all I'd do in Emporia...
No, you just made the same mistake that everyone else who wants to improve the review feature has made. This has been argued for more than a decade now.
You come up with this big intellectual idea that is a bit beyond most people's capacity to appreciate it. Most disc golfers like things...
I had planned to up my previous record of 223 this year around solstice time as there are a lot more tracks in the ground now than there were when I did it. Unfortunately, the weather, too many other duties beckoning, and just a lack of passion made that a no go. I'm not sure I could stomach...
I just love this logic where supposedly...
1. Everyone carries a cell phone on the course.
2. Uses text messages regularly.
3. That cell phones and cell service never malfunction and the recipient of said text will see said text and be able to reply in a timely manner.
4. For the incidental...
