How far are you from a course/field?

How far are you from a DG course

I live a quarter of a mile from a 9-hole course and maybe half of a mile from an elementary school with a big open field I can use. I work on a 5-acre property too, so as long as it's light enough I can just throw out there in the evenings...

IF YOU DON'T LIVE WITHIN 25 MINUTES OF A DISC GOLF COURSE, IT'S TIME TO MOVE.

Or get a really good proposal going for your parks and rec department. OR buy some baskets and put them on some land.

I don't have to move just yet. There's a park in my town that's maybe ten minutes from my house that is seeking information about potentially putting in a course. It's right along my commute home from work, so there's still a chance.

If that falls through I guess I'll need to start boxing up my stuff again...:wall:

I live w/in 10 min of 3, and a 1/2 hour of 14 courses, rated 3 or higher, several with good field space a putter throw from the 1st tee.

It's much harder for me to find a lighted field for winter after work practice than a decent course.

More than once I've put the bag in the back, jumped in and started the car, and stared at the dash trying to decide where to go play. Truly, an embarrasment of riches here.

I didn't know which one to pick because it is both a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute drive, but I always drive so that is the one I chose. The course stinks though, so I just drive an extra 15 minutes and hit up Tyler.

30 minutes to Trophy Lakes and West Ashley and 40 minutes to Eagle Landing. Maybe 20 minutes to Park Circle but I have only played it once in the past 2 years and I would much rather drive a few more minutes to play a better quality and less crowded course where I have a better chance of getting discs back should they be thrown poorly. We are supposed to be getting two new courses which will be about 20 minutes each from me East of the Cooper which I plan to play more often/

Course (generous 3 rated) near where I work but 15 min from my house. After that it's 30- minute drive to the next two.

I can walk to a field. Closest course is only a couple miles away.

I live in the like 26th best city for DG but all of them (6+) are equidistant at 10+ miles away. We are trying to get a course (even a short one) at a park less than a 10 min walk from my house.

Basically one hour to the four closest courses... two near Bedford, PA (Shawnee State Park and Bedford School District Course) to the North and two in Paw Paw, WV (Woodshed and Whippn' Post) to the East. Several more then less than 1.5 hours away.

This doesn't include the short 9 hole course I put in at my house. The lack of closer courses forced me to do it. :D

I have a nice selection of driving ranges (fields) a mile from the house at the local high school and middle school.

That map of the Twin Cities is pretty sick

I wanted to comment on everyone's posts but... we have it made. :p

Its not a matter of which course is closest rather which one to go to today!

Edit- Within an hour you can get to SOOO many courses (and DG shops, breweries, parks, shopping, restaurants, casinos) wow.

I'll be visiting family in the Cities this weekend, and they live a mile or two from Kaposia or the one in Cottage Grove - I'll bring a bag to play on my way out of town :)

I guess anyone living in Manhattan is going to have to move. :\
