2013 Discraft Ace Race

Awesome! Last year was my first. Probably one of the top disc golf events I've participated in. Super laid-back, good-time-guaranteed day of fun. I would recommend getting into the ace pot. I didn't last year cause I thought there was no way I was gonna ace. I aced and was bummed I missed out on some cash just cause my confidence was low. Still had a great time though and don't plan on missing any Ace Races in the future. If anybody sees me out there (ACU Grip bag with blaze orange logos) give me a dgcr shout-out.

I plan on getting in on it. It'd be nice to get my "first" ace. I'll probably be out in my green Discraft shirt

Dustin here. I just have one little baby ace at Blendon, but several almosts and oh sh@ts! My brother has aced #9 twice at Sycamore, and his wife aced #3 with a backhand.

My brother had an ace at Blendon which laser beamed right into the basket. I have only played Sycamore once or twice long ago so this will be my reintroduction to the course. I hope our group sees some aces and that we have a nice little competition on our hands.

Becker, MN, the first in the state! I am hoping we receive the package this Thursday so we can take a look at the discs. Do not worry, our league as taken a vow NOT to throw any of the discs early. That will not stop us from fondling them a little though.

We also have plenty of prizes for the side games, and one of our sponsors has donated a Mach Lite to be given out to a random player among those who stay through the rest of the awards. Plenty of stuff to give out and hopefully a fun course and tournament to boot.

Awesome!!!! I tried getting a Mach Lite donated for a while, but we have a lot of prizes now and I'm hoping we'll make top 3 this year with 200-ish and give that Mach Lite away next year!! (Discraft usually gives baskets to the top 3 highest attended events)

What were the numbers for last year's top 3 Ace Race's does anyone know???

I seem to remember 170 / 180 for 3rd.... I couldn't find it while googling the other day...

My Discraft package is scheduled to arrive today...very excited! Our Ace Race is on Saturday and we've got 30 people attending. Free lunch, mulligans and a play off in between rounds for a 2012 Ace Race players pack.

I'm hoping for a Leopardish disc...we'll see in a couple hours.

Not from Crystal. It might be the easiest to get to for you (or from anywhere in the northwest part of the metro). Just cruise up 10.

(By the way, you probably don't want to let anyone hear you complain about a 40 minute drive to an Ace Race.)

Thanks Steve, I could not agree more. I live 45 minutes from any decent course, it is my usual drive to play at all. :wall:

My 100 Player Packs just got into UPS this afternoon and I AM NOT HAPPY.
I understand that they want to get them in late in the week so that nobody has an advantage but this is RIDICULOUS!!!!
What happens if they show up later than Friday??? Or don't show up??
It's not like we can just have a Roc vs Buzzz battle.

The rim is about the size of an Avengers. It looks faster than a Leopard but less stable. I was surprised to get 5 different colors. There was only 1 of the dark green ones...that's mine. It was raining so I haven't thrown it.

The rim is about the size of an Avengers. It looks faster than a Leopard but less stable. I was surprised to get 5 different colors. There was only 1 of the dark green ones...that's mine. It was raining so I haven't thrown it.

awesome. really hoping our color choices are similar. but have a horrible feeling that as time goes on the choices will be limited.

When is your tourney. When I ran a birdie bash, my disc showed up 4pm Friday. This allowed almost no time to group shirts and disc combos together. I had even asked to get them one day earlier 3 weeks in advance as I had to make a 120 mile trip to the course I was running it at.

The Event is Saturday, 9am.
I ordered a week and a half ago.
In the past, they've always shown up on Tues or Wed.
