Small update, I have been minimizing molds and total discs and have finally found a putting putter to replace my Rhyno.
Full bag:
2 Excites - still like the raiders, but these seem to go a bit farther with a bite less power
3 Teebirds - jen allen color glo 2017, Luster, 12x champ
2 Firebird -...
This is such an open ended question making it almost impossible to answer. Realistically, the most important putter in the history of disc golf is the Aviar. Especially if we are counting all the variations like KC, JK, and Yeti. It has won countless world titles, majors, putting comps, and...
commented on a recent video that featured a squatch bag as an advert. got some decent conversation and some comments for both sides. whether the exact panel configuration is the same or not, this is clearly a Chinese knock off. whether consumers will care or not will remain to be seen.
Just picked up 2 eclipse and this seems to be the perfect midrange for me. Liking it so much I picked up a Neutron which I would imagine is a touch more understable. The eclipses are more overstable than I expected but I like that. They take full power FH and BH without flipping over. Even into...
I have an old pink PPD with the standard freak stamp. Loved the PPD for a bit before I decided to just stick with just the Teebird mold. Actually, my first ace was with a PPD circa 2012 (#10 at Westover park in VA) with a sidearm down a tight gap over the 11th teepad and skipping hard right in...
I’ve taken some big chunks of years off too (been playing since 2001 on and off). It can be overwhelming to wrap your head around just how big the sport is and how many discs/manufacturers there are after some time off. What disc/discs in particular are you looking to achieve this result for…...
So, the best way to do this is to cycle discs. This is a very common tactic that a lot of players use to achieve the results you are looking for. It basically involves using the wear pattern to achieve different flights. This is a much more reliable way to achieve your desired result and is very...
Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite work like that. Yes, in terms of stability for the standard Innova plastic, it tends to go Metal Flake, Champ Glo, Champion, Star, GStar, DX, but that is just a general rule of thumb. Stability is often affected by weight, but not all the time unless you really...
4.50 star(s)
Fairly lengthy course, about 9000ft for 18 holes. Challenging to say the least. This course is definitely not for beginners or novices.I have been playing for a little while, but I took a friend who never really plays and he had fun but didn't even attempt to keep score. I like a challenge so I...
Exactly this. The flight of any disc is relative. It flies like that for my arm speed. If you throw harder or have more OAT it will probably show turn for you. If you throw nose up or have less arm speed it will fade out much harder.
Even so, for an 0/2 disc they are very HSS and do resist HST...
Can’t speak to barelas or TB3s for that matter.
I haven’t thrown the 19 Allen’s, but if they are anything like the 17 Allen’s they should be very beefy, possibly more than the Avery stars but not quite as much as my Brinsters. The Avery stars are pretty darn overstable in my experience and I...
What type of Teebirds do you throw? The Champs I have (disclaimer: they are almost all PFN or older 11/12x’s) typically start off pretty beefy, more like a 0/2.5 then get to a 0/1, you can see turn here into wind or if you have a lot of arm speed, after that they start to develop a consistent...
Most Champ Teebirds I have thrown don’t really overlap with a firebird unless the firebird is seasoned. Firebirds are hard to push past 300 ft, where a Teebird can push to 350 for me. Some of the most OS Champ Teebirds I have thrown are 17 Jen Allens, and they do overlap with my sextons when...
Funny looking back at this thread and seeing a post of mine from 2017… Not much has changed really. The Teebird is a one of a kind disc. I’ve been throwing them for over a decade at this point and they are irreplaceable in my bag. For me, the Roc and the Teebird go hand in hand. Both are very...
I’ve been out of the game for a bit, just coming back. Looked at some of the prices of 15, 16, 17, and usdgc, Sextons… did I miss something? Why are these so expensive? They were always pricey, but this is a new level. Might have to unload my stacks in storage…
Honestly the best in the game right now and I've been watching DG coverage dating back to the mid 2000's. Their post hole graphics showing the shot travel, the camera quality, the angles and visual features to their filming style are out of this world.
