I'm late to the news, too. Don't really have much time to play anymore, but as a an early adopter I'm still happy to keep my premium membership and and check in once in a while. Still have my bag in my closet; maybe I'll get back to playing again one of these days. There are certainly plenty of...
Sad to hear Sugaree is going away. I was lucky enough to play there with Rich and Burt four years ago and drink a beer with them on the twelth hole. Playing such a unique course in such a unique setting is one of my favorite disc golf memories.
Congrats on the wedding and best of luck to you...
I've only played the Jones courses, but that's the impression I walked away with, too. Not a whole lot of character compared to other places I've played.
Wow, lots of irrational Kansas hate. If you want to bitch about how worlds were just in Kansas City recently or how Kansas isn't near where you live, that's cool, but OMG TORNADOES is kind of lame. Do tournaments in California lose particpents because there's an 8.5 earthquake every day? What...
Well, I certainly hope I never see it happen again. I know I shouldn't get sentimental about discs, but I've thrown that TL a whole bunch in the past five years. Felt sick about possibly having to walk away from it.
Here's hole six at Shawnee Mission Park in in the Kansas City suburbs:
Notice the power line above the hole? Good. Now here's hole six after I threw my Gregg Hosfeld Champion TL this morning:
At this point I stood on the pad and stared in disbelief for about 30 seconds.
As you can...

I'll probably update one more time after the first snow flies. My (somewhat unrealistic) goal is to bag my 150th...

My review of Holler from back in 2009, where I accurately predicted it would someday make it to the top 10. Howie is a great guy and has created one hell of a course.
No offense to you, superberry. I'm sure Winter Park is great, too, I just haven't made it to Wisconsin yet. In fact...
I'm dropping off the wife at KCI tomorrow morning around 6am then driving on up to Atlantic, IA to play Sunnyside then over to Creston, IA to play McKinley. Judging by google maps I'd probably hit Sunnyside around 9am and McKinley around noon. It's late notice, but if anyone is up for showing...
I agree. One could argue how much good the 75th review of a popular course does. The second or third review of a course, especially when the first review is more than a year old, is extremely important. You have to remember that just because you don't get a thumber doesn't mean that a person...
I really need to start writing reviews again. I'm dragging down the stats with only a 20.1% courses reviewed rate. My problem is I have a hard time being motivated to write a review unless the course is unique, or at least notable.
Holy crap, 25,000. I'm #661. I've done my part to help by handing out DGCR business cards and talking the site up to anybody I happen to play a round with. Congrats on the site's success, Tim.
