Hi there,
I know I haven’t been around for awhile but I’d like to get some expert opinions on an issue I have. I’ve finally summoned up enough courage to enter my first tournament, which is a local Trilogy Challenge. I guess we use 3 discs for the entire round, and the 3 I’m receiving on date...

DG Course in my hometown
A nice disc golf course with well maintained fairways and decent challenges. On almost every hole there are trees or telephone poles to navigate around. The course is rather open due to its location in a park and access roads running through, but a lot of time and care...
No flamewar here, man.
I applaud your credo, and that's fine by me, too. :D I'm just trying to say that as a parent leading my DG playin kid around a city park, it's nice to have those kinds of restrictions enforced.
Sometimes the "harm" you speak of is transparent to the offender.
If you play Morley Field, best time to go is early in the morning on a weekday, like before 9:00 a.m. On weekends, if you get there after 7:00, you'll be waiting. And waiting. And waiting.
Believe me, we get up at 5 a.m. to go play, but Morley is a fun place to play!
I'm getting this odd feeling that I should use a silver Sharpie, but I'm not sure. If 35 more people tell me silver Sharpie, I guess I'll go with it....
I play at Morley Field in San Diego. It's always crowded, all the time, year 'round. Just take a peep at the reviews for Morley and you'll see. We get up at 5:00 a.m. on weekends to go. If you get there after 7:00, it's just not worth it unless you want 30 minute waits on each hole.
Based on your feedback, I got him a DX Leopard 150gm driver. Even ordered up an InStep DG200 basket.
Thanks for the advice, guys, it's much appreciated!
I have a Ryhno DX that's a great putter, although I went rogue and ordered a Soft Magnet to try out. Never thought about long approaches with it, tho; I might have to try that on my next outing. I use my Roc for most approaches, I'm still kind of a beginner....
Thanks for the (indirect)...
Thanks for the advice guys! Yeah, he does prolly have too many discs, but some were given to him, and he uses Dragon, Valk and Shark a lot. Basically told him to pare down his discs when he goes golfing to 4-5 discs, as all of them in a bag gets too heavy for him to carry. He thoroughly...
Hi guys,
Back golfing after a short haitus, and now my 8 year-old son is digging the disc golfing life. He goes out with me pretty much every weekend to Morley Field. Here's what's in his bag:
(Top row) Champion Valkyrie 170gm, Cheetah 175 gm, Valkyrie 150gm
(Middle row) Dragon...
Pretty much like you, I've just taken to shortening the name and adding a -y, i.e., Valky (Valkyrie), Stingy (Stingray), Arky (Archangel), etc. Except for my Eagle. Eagly just doesn't sound right IMO....
