Super happy for the folks that pulled this off, hopefully with success across all venues/companies/promoters people will be able to make this happen everywhere. Got my 4 some and tee time locked in. This winter was brutal on SC, snow in the passes, massive flooding throughout the region, all of the local roads in aside from the southern freeway were closed due to landslides at one point or another. While not as cold as other areas, the crazy weather put a serious hurt on it.
Holy crap, if philo actually hit a 2 on hole 6w that is the shot of the tourney, glad there are guys out there filming. It is listed as a par 4 on the map and a par 5 on the card, either way that is a crazy 350ft+ field ace around a tricky corner!
Wow Devan Owens drive on the genius hole (9e) might be the best I've ever seen there, too bad he clanked the putt. Watching those guys kill that hole makes me depressed.
1196ft with a dog leg and tricky lines through trees, it is a legit par 5 for the longest arms in MPO. As a noodle armed am with ok accuracy that hole can officially go to hell.
Not quite that huge of a swing but played my one tourney for the year this weekend, shot 810/845/896 in the three rounds. At least they were headed in the right direction, 5-10 more rounds and I might have gotten competitive :)
I came here to post this, hole two of the playoff, Mcbeth goes ~40ish long and Ricky parks it, drains a 40 footer with 400+ people watching...ice! Will saying "wow" on camera and then getting up to run to the next holes says it all :)
I never post in here because my answer is usually "like crap" but shot even at Pier Park with three birds all on holes I almost never get, and was throwing 20-30 ft father than I normally do. Kick ass morning. Fun last round before the winter layout goes away.
