I don't support North Face. I had a pair of Hedgehog mids GTX and they blew apart within one season. I'm not that hard on shoes and generally can make them last 5+ years. Not a good company, in my opinion. I highly recommend anything made by Zamberlan.

The best way to eliminate the odour is to use white vinegar in the wash. I just soak them in a vinegar/water and laundry detergent solution in a pail for 20 minutes, rinse them out well, then dry them outside.

I use an ESP Meteor to fill that slot. I find it holds a line nicely and has a very gentle fade.

The way to improve is to go out and play, not sitting around watching Youtube videos. It's great to read and watch suggestions, but unless you have a disc in your hand, you can't apply those suggestions, automatically expecting your game to get better.

I usually warm up by playing catch with a floppy putter. I find it loosens up the arms and gets the blood moving a bit.

The Pain is the best over stable mid I've ever thrown. It gets a permanent place in my bag.

Emphasize how much fun the game is. Tell stories about how fun it is to watch a disc fly in the air towards the target, even if it isn't a particularly good throw. The other benefits, such as health, etc, should only be secondary highlights. I try to hook people on the fun factor.
