I agree that a woman could win against one man. However, there is no chance that a woman will win a DGPT event playing in MPO anytime soon. The same can be said for a female-to-male transgender athlete being in the mix for a win in the top levels of MPO.

I've played it a few times and I would bet there would be plenty of pros throwing the hyzer on that hole without a mando. Having said that, I'm not exactly sure why there's a mando. I was just replying to someone who said a select few players had the skill to reach that basket with a hyzer.

That hole is only 260'. Every single MPO player could easily reach it with a spike hyzer.

The Lodge tries to publicize the fact that they don't maintain the Island course in the summer, which is why we try to go in the spring or fall.

I wouldn't drive too far to play them. From what I've read, the course upkeep has been pretty lousy recently. I had planned to drive down there in July from Iowa with a group and play it but the recent UDisc and DGCR reviews all mentioned overgrown fairways etc. and we didn't want to drive 13...

Like I said in a comment on this thread, maybe just not having trophies would be the best idea. My brain is able to think "that trophy is pretty lame" AND "trophies are pointless" at the same time. I hope that doesn't confuse you.

I don't disagree with any of this except maybe the first sentence. It seems like the right idea might be to just not have a trophy at all.
