I live in the NW, so our winter is all rain. So is our spring. And our fall. And three weeks in the summer. I don't know what to do when my discs are dry.
The only ball golf course I've ever really enjoyed on coverage was the one at Portland Open last year. Just a gorgeous property with a good amount of trees to keep it from getting monotonous. Goat Hill just kind of bores me. Throw it a country mile. Then lay it up over a green and putt...
I don't read that as her saying Innova was better. Read it more as her knowing her Innova discs better, meaning that it's on her for not taking more time to learn her DD bag before the tournament.
First round I clanged putts, missed upshots, and finished +10. I'm terrible, but that's bad for me. Parred a hole I've never parred though so there was something positive.
Second round I threw a personal best. Drained a bunch of putts I'd usually miss, scrambled a couple of pars I didn't...

Ball golf turned disc golf
It's been a minute since I've played a new course. Or at least since I've reviewed one. Let's see if I remember how to do this.
Equipment: It's a pretty new course on a disc golf exclusive portion of property. Sure there are random dog walkers and the like, but this...
To those who don't spend all day every day on the Facebook page: Frozen Valley is now available in the newest update, and it's a doozy. Some very gettable holes, but there are a bunch of longer ones and ice/water hazards that can ruin your day. Hole 2 might be the new Kaho 4 in the "round...
I live in the Northwest and prefer to do the majority of my playing in the winter. So they get plenty wet and the towel cleans everything off. Good to go.
I honestly don't think I've lost anything worth more than stock. Maybe a Valkyrie I lost in 2009 would have more value now, but that's as far as it'll go for me. My most expensive discs don't fly because that would lower their value and defeat the purpose of collecting them. Even though I don't...
I aced it with a light/skip Ballista. Just aimed the arrows down a tick and pretty much pulled straight back. Let it turn over, barely clip a leaf, and skip in. Of course the next time I tried it with a different wind I came up 30' short of the island. So who knows. Owlwood in general seems to...
Next time leave your fine tooth comb at home. It takes way longer to literally go through bushes with a comb, and it didn't even help you. If you'd just looked like a normal person you would have found it in no time. Or bought another one. :D
I kind of hit a lull too. I only review about half of the courses I play anymore, and I don't play that often. The worst is when I hit a course when traveling and then forget to review it.
My first ace came two months into my playing career. It was a 167' downhill hyzer playing solo, and it came in a round where I got stuck behind some people and looped back through some holes I'd already played. So was it really an ace? Heck yes it was. And it was just as exciting as my second...
Same. I hit 915 and am happy about it. I know I can bump it a bit higher, but until I'm consistently acing the Sunshine holes I'm not going to average 950. First round out of the update I hit an eagle and an ace in a -11 round for a 930 because it was such an easy layout. Other times I've thrown...
Last one I saw didn't even break $100 mint, but that was two or three years ago. They're becoming more rare in that condition though because a lot of people have thrown them, which was always his wish in the first place.
I'm currently bagging:
Glide/Acc Pure
Glide/Acc Fuse
Wind/Acc River
Light/Wind Recoil
Light/Skip Ballista
Light/Glide Ballista
I've been throwing the River for weeks now. It was to me what everyone told me the Explorer would be. I never got the Explorer but almost didn't care.
I finally got...
Exactly this. It's a repeatable game. If you put in enough time and practice you'll learn how to consistently throw in from 150-200'. Those of us who aren't on the leaderboard might play an hour a day on average. But people like Herman Davenport (aka Bagger) play more than you want to know. He...
This has been brought up on the Facebook group, but not here. So for anyone who doesn't know:
If you're working on raising your tour rating and either running out of time or the game crashes and gives you a 100 at the last second, you don't necessarily have to take the ratings hit. The tour...
