Hey Everyone! I was the individual defending the club in the twitter thread. Here’s some background on the whole scenario (something that a simple tweet does not provide):
Over the years, Stafford Woods has had numerous problems with people altering the course (breaking branches, sawing down...
I was on a card with Silver for the second round at this years GMC at fox run. I watched him almost eagle hole 7 (1200 ft downhill) with two forehands and a missed 40 footer from pin high left. He also nearly birdied hole 8 (650ish, uphill, plays like 850) with 2 forehands if not for a weird...
Andrew Fish is a former high level ultimate player and now likely one of the best players in the world that has a full time job. He won 2 A tiers this year and won 10000+ all while having a full time job. Do I think Brodie will ever reach that level? Probably not, but I guess it’s not inconceivable
The ratings system IMO doesn’t fit Iron Hill that well, having played 20+ rated rounds there. However, even though it can be harder than most courses to shoot a 1000+ round (I only have a few at the hill), I have also found that my worse rounds don’t rate too poorly, which is probably because of...
I actually think that’s one of the better holes on the course. Most every professional level player can play safe for a par, but the top level distance guys have the ability to go for par. Yesterday on lead card, the shortest thrower on the card (Chris Clemons) played for par and got it, while...
The two holes he aced though were pretty bonkers though. The margin of error for even hitting the line and getting close to the basket on that inside hyzer flip on 10 is ridiculous, and acing in 25+ mph winds on any hole is bonkers.
McBeth to Latitude 64. I hear he intends to throw the same molds as Ricky and try to beat him, win a few more titles and put his name on all of Ricky’s signature discs.
It’s getting cold here in Vermont and disc golf season is coming to an end. Never too early to start speculating about the future, right?
I am looking forward to finding out who Kevin Jones signs with, and am curious to see if there will be any other major sponsor jumps before next season...
Had the opportunity to play a couple rounds at the PFDO with Casey this year. Super down to earth and lots of natural skill. Looking forward to watching his progression as both a disc golfer and a goalie!

Maybe they could offer a bonus to the card with the lowest combined score - maybe something like $250 for each player so that those in Philo's situation don't get completely shafted
Clearly you guys have never played Maple Hill. While the drop zone on 8 is not very puntitive, you lose nearly 2 strokes to the entire field if you go into the water. Often times on that hole landing in the water is an unforced error - just as it is on 14, as discs have a tendency to bottom out...
The ratings for Am Worlds this year got really screwed up. Not so much for advanced, but for many other divisions. They made a mess of the MJ1 ratings especially - screwed up rounds five and six as well as the semis. You would figure they would clean that up before the official update.
Last i heard there is a course going in on a tree farm right across the lake from Nocky. Golf carts available, great land and a very experienced player designing. Par should end up being a fairly tough 64ish
Anyone else find fault in the ratings system on courses like these? Ricky beat the rest of the field by 8, yet only averaged about a third of a stroke over his rating per round. Maybe its just me, but the ratings don't quite seem to reward his stellar play.
